Lori Guevara practices law in the shadow of the Space Needle, from the Seattle branch of Legal Advocates for Indian Country, LLP. Lori is licensed to practice law in Washington State as well as many of the Pacific Northwest tribal courts. Lori is Cherokee and Choctaw, and service to Indian Nations and tribal citizens is very much a part of her personal and professional philosophies. She currently serves as a trustee for the Indian Law Section of the Washington State Bar Association. Lori attended law school at Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida, a university known for its intensive trial advocacy training. She then earned her Master’s of Law, with honors, in Native American and Indigenous People’s Law at the University of Tulsa College of Law. Lori’s practice focuses on domestic relations law in state and tribal courts, including dissolutions of marriage, parentage actions, child support, parenting plans, modifications, and appeals. Her adoption and guardianship practice includes specialized attention to unique issues pertaining to the Indian Child Welfare Act.
